Good morning!

I bought a 30gal craftsman air compressor last night. For those of you who have one at home in the garage, is there any worries about "undrained" water freezing in the winter? Do you actually release all the air when you are done using it?

Water is a problem where ever you live. I would say if you know the ambient temperture is going to be 32 degrees and colder than drain it and wait until you need to use to pump it up again. Water does funny things when it freezes and expands. I dont worry to much down here but I do drain mine after about a couple of hours of use. On my Craftsman it appears the tank is not coated on the inside and some very rusty water drains from mine every time. The months of August and September are really hard on mine because of the humidity. I can fill up my water trap in less than an hour sometimes when I am blasting media or trying to paint.
