Air/Fuel ratio ?

Intersting info so far. Thanks for the education. What about if you were running alochol as your fuel. Would the same tuning rules apply?

I start tuning in the 9's for air fuel single or twin

Then I start leaning it out and watch the power increase. Once the power stops increasing, I back it down(richer) a tad.

Typically I see 10.8-11.0 on mild single kits and have seen 10.0:1 on wild high hp setups.

Case in point V6 292 ci with an 88 mm turbo made 1091 hp on 91 octane at 10.0:1 afr. That video is up at Campbell Automotive - 780-452-3535

11.0 and up on a Buick.. Good luck

Our experience is 10.8 AFR or richer... down to 10.5 or so on a 850 hp motor.

600 HP .... maybe 11.0:1 - 11.2:1.

Every motor is a little different.

Yeah, you'll probably end up richer than my suggested 10.8:1. Having the low octane gasoline in the mix is going to do much to restrict you.
Low octane gasoline. Yuck.

It is interesting how close the best power numbers are between the fuels. O2 reading wise.
