Can anyone tell me what each of the ALDL pins functions are, or are connected to, from left to right (pin F to A)?? I know A is a ground, and B works the trouble code system, and F works the TCC lockup solenoid. Any other detail on these? What about the rest of the pins? What do they do?

Pin A - Ground
Pin B - ALDL enable
Pin E - Data Stream for scantool
Pin F - TCC

The ALDL enable will flash the codes out when grounded (pin A to pin B)
The data stream wire (orange) carries all serial data for use with your scantool.
The TCC pin, when grounded, will override the ECM, forcing lockup to the torque converter, assuming the brake switch is functional. That's about it for the ALDL. There is an EGR diagnostic pin on the bottom row, but not really used for any meaningful turbo stuff.

Thanks John. So the other pins in the connector are non-functional?

Yep. The other terminal locations are pretty much unused. I always thought it'd be a good idea to put a switched positive feed in one of them, so that when you attach a scanmaster or other scantool, you wouldn't need to use the cig lighter plug, but instead just pick up power from the ALDL port. Maybe a kit of some sort that could be added...
