Re: just got my line lock in the mail and was looking

i was looking at the installation after the valve, and you will need to plug the line going to the right front brake, use the line going to the left front brake (the one coming from top) and connect linelock to it, use a T from the linelock and hook both brake lines to it, and you are done, looks simple but time consuming, I think in the end is well worth it.. now i got a new project on my hands :).

It's really not time consuming at all. You make the two short hoses beforehand. Then you just need a plug and a "tee" fitting.

A hurst line lock mounts perfectly to the bracket on the proportioning valve and the power wire goes right through the shift cable hole to the console.

Best of all, you don't ruin your inner fenders with line lock mounting holes (or get dirty looks from the track tech for having an unsupported line lock held in place by the brake line  ) and no one knows you even have a line lock.

So we should put it after rather than the MC? I took off a Biondo that was at the MC and wanted to put the new Hurst after. Can someone give me a step by step on doing this and where to mount? TIA

That's pretty good! Anyone have a better picture they can e-mail me or post? Also, where do I get the "T" and what connections do I ask for? TIA

Per NHRA 2003 rule book Section 3:1

" line-loc installed on front brakes must have soleniod installed after the differential switch"

so you may not be "wrong", but you may not pass tech!

on my 2 regals, both cars had line locks, and i tried to cheat on the first car and put the lock near the MC, it works but not near as good as after the prop valve, and the nhra rulebook says where to put it because of this, i also notice a need for more brake pedal after using a line lock, mabe to move the line lockn piston back, but there has to be a good reason, or the sanctioning bodies would not require it.
