Is anybody running alky kit and e85, will it still give a benefit as if you running 93oct. and alky or would you be pissing in the wind. I know you need more inj. pump ect.. that is why I am thinking about this because i currently redoing my fuel system and thinking about trying this, I would have to get slightly larger injectors, what is your input?

I am sure it would be similar to running 112 octane to 116 octane with straight meth. You pretty much could run track boost and timing with no prob.

I am considering this route after I hear back from Turbobob on the Maf Pro and 90lb injectors. The real question is do you want to run a track setup all the time? I think I might stay with 23lbs on 93 and alky so I can enjoy this motor for another 20k.

I would install larger fuel lines and the jury is out on one Walbro 340 being able to not only handle the E85 long term, but being able to push enough volume for low E.T's on E85 due to the 20-25% more it needs to push.

In IL there are plenty of E85 stations, if the Walbro 340 can handle the alky, then twin pumps would be the way to roll.

Has anybody tried methenol on top of straight e85, I would think that with out the meth. you could run 20# of boost provided you have enough volume of fuel. My confusion comes from will the meth. react the same way it does with regular 93 octane. I will be running a aeromotive 1000 pump and -10 feed & -8 return. Say you can run 20# with straight E85 will I be able to run say 27-30# with meth. on top of it. This will help me decide on my injector size.

I do not recommend E85 at all. Lower energy output and most importantly it will corrode the entire fuel system. The E85 cars fuel system is designed to handle the corrosive effects of E85. Stick with race gas or 93 octane and meth. Think about this-all alky kits incorporate plastic or stainless steel parts because of the corrrosive effects of all types of alky. Our fuel systems are not stainless steel. My 2 cents. Brad
