I heard you could run more timing like 28/26 with right tune and bit more boost like (28lbs.) I guess it's depends on person. Anyone else run it higher than that?

Boost more like 30lbs. The experts say lower timing in third. I personally don’t like pushing it too much, I like my engine components to stay in the engine not on the road.

Your focus on boost is a little skewed/ Big difference with 28 PSI on a motor with a GTQ71, 224 roller, and race ported aluminums.. and a completely stock longblock at 28 PSI.

I've hit 30 PSI, 24.5 degree's timing, and a 35 shot of nitrous on 93 octane. With a 67, Champion irons, and a 221 cam. I have some imports blown past 40 PSI on 93 octane(4G63's).

The amount of alcohol and engine mangement/tune becomes critical the more squeeze you put on the motor.
