hi anybody useing a volt booster with one of razors kits and do you have any problems or any advice thanks

Get rid of it.

It will make your air fuel drop hard when it activates.

alky control volt booster

do you mean richen mixture with booster.volts will climb to 15 volts at alt at 10 psi boost without volt booster my o2s drop from 780 to 730 at wot i have been haveing this problem even when i have changed alternators injectors fuel pumps chips fuel filters

alky control

we always talk about voltage what about alternator amps is it possible i have a low amps what should they read or test

At 10 PSI you shouldnt need additional voltage. If your O2 drops at WOT.. add injector duty cycle through the chip. Or your fuel pump is having issues.. A fuel pressure guage will confirm if its dropping or not.

Do not pad your fuel issues with alcohol. Get the car to run properly at 15 PSI without alcohol... then start working on tuning with.

Alky is the biggest fix all.. but it will only save you for so long.

Your alternator volatage should stay at 12+ volts.. Get a direct scan and record a run.. then see whats what.

Mine runs like a champ with the volt booster, but I haven't started fine tuning the car yet. I'm running...gulp.....23 to 24#'s on pump gas and have yet to hear a chirp out of my knock detector. How can it be wrong when it feels so right? :D

Put a wide band sensor in your exhuast, datalog your air fuel readings getting into boost and going down the track. If the wide band shows your air fuel ratio is nice and tight at your target.. then leave things alone.

And the volt booster.. is an issue more so with my system. As it makes the pump spin faster creating more alky than needed at lower boost levels.

If the cars runs to ones satisfaction.. leave it alone ;)

Thanks Julio. My car has always been very octane sensitive and perhaps likes more alky at low boost. As you inidicate, the only way to be sure is to get scientific and measure what's going on. I will look into the wideband. BTW, many, many thanks for the amazing product you have developed. My car has never run this good, race gas included!! :D

Yes, I dont mean to Hijack at all but figured I would through a huge thanks to Julio as well not only for the product but the professional and knowlegable support.

Thanks.

Enough to bog the motor?

If your car is rich to begin with going into power enrichment(10.0 AFR), then yes will be your answer.

Ok say the car is running rich prior to PE...the volt booster would cause more of an issue coming out of the hole than cursing at 55 mph and nailing it?

Depends on chip, depends on MAF, depends on turbo.

To make decisions you need data. Air fuel data can only be obtained utilizing the proper sensor... aka.. wide band O2.. then you see if the car is rich or lean.. or where its at when you nail it.. once you have the data, then you need to work on tuning the airfuel to get it in-line.

On my own application becuase I run a twin nozzle.. it adds too much voltage and dumps in too much alcohol at a boost level that the quantity is not needed. I could possibly tune around the 10 PSI boost where the volt booster activates and try leaning out the tables there.. but why.. when removing it eliminates all my issues and the car picks up et.

Anything without data is a guess. Some of us Buick guys can guess pretty good.. just need to be careful.
