Yes they are serviceable up to a certain point. One thing tho it is probably a wise investment to replace it every 2-3 years if the car is heavily reliant on it. Just like it is wise to replace the Walbro in-tank every 2-3 seasons.. that way you know you are on a new pump and its a non issue when racing.

This morning I swapped out a pump dated 12/03 on a Buick I installed a kit on.. it had started leaking.. did the pump, upgrade pressure sensing module, front panel... brought the kit up to date.

If your system is pre Dec 05.. it needs the update. One easy way you can tell.. the turnon LED is RED not bi-colored like the new one. If your doing the update.. do the pump as well.

I'll be more than happy to test your pump for issues. I dont charge for this service, do ask for the shipping back. But by the time you factor shipping back and forth, down time, etc... its probably better to swap it out.

HTH

PS.. call for pricing.

ok..i will more than likely pull the pump to be serviced ,hopefully this weekend...i will call you before i send it. also, i was more concerned about the 340 walbro in my tank..its 4-5 years old...do you think there are better options, regarding fuel pumps, for these cars, before i get another one?

The Walbro replacements are fine.

Remember new is new. ;)

The Alky system "update"

Please tell me more about the "update" in the previous post. I have the red turn-on LED.

Newer pumps are wired for pressure sensing, the hardware has been changed, newer style valving, etc. To install it requires adding a module to the PAC controller and swapping the red LED for a Bi-colored one.

:)

This was on my car.....cheap insurance to replace now, wish I'd have done
