Hey there alkyholics:D .

Putting together a blow thru turbo setup for my '65 Plymouth.

400 cubes with 8.8:1, Comp 270(224/470) and Brodix B1-BS heads.Gonna fab up some tube manifolds and start with two stock GN turbos.Shortblock's only good to about 600hp.

Anybody have any experience with fogging methanol thru a carb?

Do you want to fog it into the up pipe and thru the carb,or spray it thru a nitrous plate?

Thanx.

there are some carb guys on the Water - Methanol - Alcohol Injection

some with blowers, some with turbos using plates, nozzles etc...

and this one was my favorite, and Dodge slant 6 carbed with a GN turbo

I ran water injection of a carb'd mustang with a powerdyne blower. I referenced the boost switch with the fuel pressure regulator (probably doesnt matter where though), but it would empty the water bottle very quickly till I got the boost setting just right on the switch. I sprayed at the carb hat, Performance Carbs piece.

Not an issue. I would shoot rite through the carb. I've sold a bunch to blow through setups. I wouldnt use a nitrous jet or plate for this. Also aluminum fittings of any kind are a no-no.

I did a boat kit recently twin 540's.. ran GM 2 bar maps and two PAC controllers. Shot rite through the carbs.

Cool,thanx guys.

Man,I hope that guy with the slant 6 isn't running straight methanol with his nozzle before the bov like that.

So it sounds like the best plan is to tig a bung into my uppipe right after the merge(twins) and screw a nylon fitting in.Give it a foot or so of pipe to let the meth do it's thing:biggrin: .

Not to hijack a thread but if you took any pics of the boat setup please post.

Well his carb hat is definitely cheap!

Hey Julio, are you using a plastic fuel cell for a methanol tank?

I'm not gonna run an intercooler so I want to make sure I'm not gonna run out on a long cruise:D . Was thinking maybe one of the summit 12 gallon jobs, maybe one with a fuel sender built in if the meth won't kill it:confused: .

Tank is plastic. I dont thing the level senders that come with the Jazz/RCI cells can handle methanol.

Liquid is corrossive and flammable. Must be treated accordingly.
