Has anyone installed their Alky nozzle on the intercooler "hose" between the up pipe & TB? Can it be done without leaking? I have a PTE FM and the TB hose is kinda long, looks like it will fit. I don't really want to drill a hole into the up pipe.

Thanks,
Guy

I believe your biggest problem maybe getting it to seal correctly. I mean how do you get a perfect hole, then keep it from expanding under heavy boost. Solve these two, I dont see a problem.

The aluminum pipe drills easy, and can be plugged at a latter time. Plus it provides a secure mounting surface.

Sandwiching the nozzle between two steel pre-bent washers would probably work out fine.

I'd still probably seal the outer one to the hose with some rtv or other sealing adhesive.

Something I would keep an eye on for the first 6 months after I did it to see how it works out under boost. :)

Actually if you say there is a lot of hose, i'd put a small section of exhuast tubing with the nozzle in it, and then two pieces of silicon hose. In between your TB and the up-pipe. You'll then have 4 clamps instead of two. You can paint the tube black or get it coated, and dont have to drill your up-pipe.

And not worry about leaking. Your call.

Might want to try one of those chrome 3" exhaust band clamps with the nozzle in it sandwiched over the hose.

Lots of options that shouldn't be a problem. :)

Thanks, Guys great ideas.:) I guess I do have a lot of options.:D And Razor does your Alky kit use the same nozzle as the SMC kit?

Thanks,
Guy

Yes we both use Hago nozzles. The one I include is the M15 which is the largest.
