WHAT BOOST LEVELS CAN BE REACHED ON A MOSTLY STOCK TR?
IT'LL HAVE :
K&N,307PUMP W/HOTWIRE,STREET CHIP(91 OR 93 OCTANE),
VALVE CAVER BREATHERS,ADJUSTABLE FUEL PSI REG.,ADJUSTABLE STOCK WASTEGATE,POWERPLATE.
THATS ALL FOR NOW.
SOON:
T49,009'S &CHIP,WHAT ELSE? DUNNO YET.
BUT I NEED MY ALCOHOL!!

I think its one of the best mods to do for a stock TR. Get it running right without alky. Then stick in a 100 octane chip, turn the boost to 21 lbs, get it dialed in (you need a scan tool before you do anything) and have fun. Gut the cat too!

What he said.

Shoot for 22psi. on 20-24* timing and get some good tires. :)

WOW 20+ PSI,AMAZING!
WOULD A SCANMASTER DO OR WOULD I NEED MORE?
WHAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED GOOD TIRES?
REGULAR RADIALS BUT WIDER OR DRAG RADIALS?
AND BEST SIZE ON STOCK WE4 WHEELS OR GN WHEELS?
I WILL HAVE A SET OF BOTH.

Drag Radials, I use Nittos myself. :)

Direct Scan works best for me for fine tuning.

Scanmaster can get you in the ballpark knock wise with alky.

A good chip is a must most run 100 ocatane chips safely with alky.

Work the boost up 1 psi. at a time and if you drive the car around a lot always check for part throttle knock when ramping up the boost and adjusting the alky.

My car is almost like yours. I picked up an alky kit last minute for a freezing weekend at the track. With my sig and a RA93 chip, I ran a 13.4@103, spinning the radials (>2.2 60'), my homemade actuator maxed out and 93 octane fuel. I was glued to the scanmaster, so I don't know the boost for sure, but it was certainly over 22 lbs. I was just in awe that I saw no knock! That's on my 169,000 mile untouched motor, one tired puppy, valve springs and all. I REALLY should have had a better chip, but there was no time, I'm still waiting on that right now....

All I can say is WOOOHOO! and it aint even fast yet! Tighten things up, get some traction (I usually do 1.9-2.0 on BFG street radials) and I'll be singing 12's all day long. I love that alky.

I was asking the same questions about a month ago. I bought the kit and I'm a believer too! No longer do I have to cringe when I see the scanmaster readings!
