Any alcohol is fine. If your in Jersey.. plenty of places to obtain methanol.

You can use the HEET in yellow bottle not red bottles.

Call your local speed shop and ask if they sell methanol or know a source.

As for the internal SMC kits, I've used meth in mine for 5 years and it was used when I got it. Pump just gave out and that's probably because it spent the better part of 6 months dry while I did the trans and motor. Just add Klotz lube and you'll be fine.
