I have the newer smc progressive kit . When the weather gets hotter it takes longer for the system to prime when I hit the test button . I have to hit the test button 2 to 3 times before the spray light comes on! this only happens when the weather is hotter. 70 degrees and hotter. Any idea's

Best thing to do is get rid of it. You dont want it failing when your wot. Those were good back in the day but too old now. My smc kit was replaced by alky control and was well worth the money.

My SMC kit was the same. My theory is that without the filter in the line and the pump being smaller, the hose would either evaporate from heat easier or get pushed backwards through the pump under boost without spray. I could have replaced my pump with the one Razor sells and gotten by though, but I upgraded to his kit and the results have been impressive to say the least. Much more predictable and engine friendly delivery curve. Bight the bullet if you plan on keeping the car for a long time or if you plan on driving it a lot. I put 10k miles on my car every year from 35 degrees to over 100 degrees ambient and I need a system that I can trust 100% of the time. My SMC system did give me fits once in a while and the nozzle was filthy after I removed it with no line filter after 4 years and 40k miles. The Razor kit just works great and is made for our cars. I did put one on my Dad's TPI camaro though and that is working great too!
