alky tuning ?

I just got motor back and running going to start playing with tuning it in a lil more.Number one ? is I get on it alky comes on and it runs in the 12.3-11.6 according to wide band readings.This is att 22 lbs of boost and 2.9 fuel pulled out at wot in tt chip.But I see some smoke coming out the tail pipes when i do this.Dial on box in car is at 5 51/2.Do i need to pull it back to around 31/2 4 or pull a lil more fuel at wot from chip.Plugs are a nice golden brown and it goes like the wind other wise....Just wondering on this so far....or do i need to turn boost up closer to chip max

At 11.6 you shouldnt be having smoke. As far as air fuel.

Also you are technically lean at that air fuel running pump gas and meth. I wouldnt reduce alky amount. Remember you run the risk of knock when you start reducing alky. Leave the alky alone and add air or reduce fuel to lean it out.

Personally, I rather run a bit richer in the mid-upper 10's for air fuel.

Be sure the smoke is not oil or excess fuel when the motor is going into power enrichment through the chip.

Sometimes running a little less fuel pressure and adding fuel to the chip at WOT gets the same air fuel at WOT but is leaner coming up. This leaning out may curb smoking if fuel related. Make sense?

ok so leave alky at 5 5 1/2 got it.Now what do you recomened to set fuel pressure at tt chip says 43 line off should i try 41 line off and set chip to stock settings.Instead of pulling the -2.9 at wot.It is a blackish white mixture when i put it down and my buddy said it smells weird that why i thought to much meth. so in the 10's wide open is where i want to be i am going to get the logger back out and on it so i can look at the charts and see what it is doing...

I typically adjust my fuel pressure to adjust my BLM's. This way the chip is better matched. The 43 PSI figure is a baseline. So if all your BL's are running a little high.. add some more pressure. Or vice versa.

Get your logger out. And start looking.

And... methanol doesnt leave odor. Denatured does.

Start fat and lean it out. Not the other way around. And only lean it out as it increases in power. Meaning trap speed increases.
