Well...it's here.
I'm waiting for my TT Alky chip still.

Any one with experience installing and setting one of these up available to supervise me through my install and make sure I don't do something stupid...and lend a hand?

I'll supply the pizza and beer...or pop...whatever....anything but myself, family members or farm animals...but my 2 Jack Russell Terirers are not out of the question if it floats your boat.

Otherwise I'll be at it for weeks....seriously...remember how long it took me to install a boost gauge.... and I'm bored silly with 13-14 lbs of boost.

Let me know.
Tim

OK, I'm a little less than an hour south of you in Carlsbad. If no one closer to you can help, I'll be happy to assist you.

Charlie

I will hold your soda pop for you, Tim, while you are down there getting dirty.
Feels like you are getting ready to do heart surgery, huh?

I'm in the South OC, Mission Viejo area....not too far from pappa Lou's shop.
Chicken choker, sounds like you have plenty of volunteers & besides my landlord won't accept pizza & beer as payment. Presently I'm busy installing one of Razors kits right now.I had to rent a fork lift to install the pump. Looking forward to mounting the various light bulbs, wires, black boxes & do dads & my next visit to the chiropractor when my back goes out from camping out under the dash. Now moveing forward I think your next investment should be a fast system & a set of aluminum heads to complement your program. Then your good to go with the rest of the pack.Contact Rick Percy he has all the right connections & the best prices in town.

Ah thanks, pappa Lou!
You're the best!

I was reading through the instructions last night and for the most part, it looks like a no brainer. I just get intimidated by wiring and dash board work because they require finness and I'm more of a knuckle buster.

My wife also offerred to help (she helped me do my engine and trans swap in the Camaro) but when it comes to wiring, she usually sits there and tells me, in a very loving way, how stupid I am while I quietly imagine ways to disable my passsenger side airbag.

I'm sure a good volunteer will surface.

Hey...Where do I buy meth around here? I asked one guy where I could score some meth, and he went all jittery on me....started pulling out needles, spoons, big ol' rubber bands and bunson burners, and talking like a goat...
I don't think we were on the same page.
:-o

Tim:
There's an auto supply house directly across from Donut Derelict's on Magnolia or Adams. Mike Barnard (Spoolfool2) knows the name of it. I am sure that you can find one closer to you.

Tim the razor kit is a good choice & nothing wrong with it & just having some fun busting balls here .I just did one yesterday & it took me at least four hours. I don't do half ass work, solderd most of the wires ran everything neatly. Those that say it can be done in an hour.Bring me their install & I'll show you why. It takes me half the time to do an SMC install & I like its simplicity & compactness .I'm not going to get into a pissing contest on which is better only that I hate working under dash's more than I have to because of my bad back recent operation on my wrist & replacement right knee. I suggest that you come over today since I have the car there & that way you can see what has to be done the right way.You don't need any ones help this is something you need to do for yourself that way you get a better understanding of how it works & what needs to be done.

Thanks, Pappa Lou.

Man!
You're falling apart...
You need some Jesus tape (a.k.a. 200mph tape, a.k.a. duct tape)?

I'll swing by this afternoon on my way home (probably around 3PM...)
...I'm in the noisy car today...The Camaro...so I hope I don't bring down your property value.;)

Tim

If you want.. call me and i'll walk you through it.

Well....true to form....I found a way to screw this up.

I was installing the "power injection" bulb and one of them skinny little leads busted clean off at the base of the bulb. No way to repair it....

So I put in a request to Razor to please expedite me a new one....but that'll be a few days at least before it arrives.

I was hoping to have this done today and I'm already on world record time  ...the longest that is....started at 10:30AM....it's going on 7PM....still plugging away between family distractions and runs to various stores for little things.

Don't suppose anyone knows where I could get one of these fast..?????

I also need to pick up some alky.
I take it that I need to bring my own clean container if I'm buying methanol...?

Is there any harm in trying some denatured alky (or whatever I can get from Lowes etc.) first and then switching to methanol later after I make a trip to the local seller in huntington beach? Is mixing bad?

I guess i can finish the rest of the install while i wait for a new bulb...I'll just leave the system dead until it arrives and I can finish the install.

Tim

Tim:
The methanol comes in a 5 gal drum / can, probably one of the costs that is figured into the purchase price. You're not far from Lou, I am sure that he will give / lend you some if he has any until you can get somewhere to buy some.
Great kit, huh? You won't be disappointed. When you are done, go compare your alky install with one of the other "not so nicely hidden" types of alky kits and you will know why everybody goes AlkyControl.
