Had a few reports that when the system would fire around the 6 psi range, at lite throttle, the motor will stumble a little. Tho at WOT not an issue.

There is now a "fix" for this condition. Thanks to the collective efforts of a few :)

Please contact me off list for details if you own both pieces and are having this issue.

Thanks
Julio

Julio,
I recieved the part in the mail saterday, installed in minutes, and it completely eliminated the problem. I am currently up to 22lbs of boost, 21/19 degrees of timing.

Prior to a the fix, when the pump kicked on the MAF signal looked like an EKG readout on direct scan, but now the signal looks completely normal.

Thanks for hunting down the cause, and the excellent customer service.

Bruce

Man, no thank you. Glad a bunch of us collectively put our heads together and came up with a simple strait forward solution.

Ya know its simple when no instructions needed to be included :)

Cheers

Julio

i saw those ekg charts back in january when i started recording on DS and no one had a clue and it was even suspected that the translator may have problems due to the fact it wouldnt hold maf at 255 without spiking down to 132 during a run and spiked on its way to 255 , which also affeted the lv8 and such , I had eric (turbotweak) take care of some the repercussions from all that spiking in the chip by locking the maf sooner so it wouldnt affect the runs (other chips dont have it so good ) and i even constructed an aluminum box surrounding the translator to help sheild it from interference which helped a bit

Well after hearing about the fix i headed for my parts pile and found exactly what i needed (wires and all) and now the DS files are clean on the way up to 255 and spike free through the run .

thanks julio :)

I've contacted Mike Licht at Full Throttle to get his guy to make the harness's. Prelim harness was sent Friday last week, he should be getting it tommorrow... I would say maybe by next months end we have a plug-n-play harness made for this issue. And in quantity. As soon as I hear a price.. it will get posted and the harness available through Full Throttle and Speed

This also affects the SMC system.

If your an alkycontrol customer, with the issue, I will make you a harness for a small nominal fee to cover supplies involved. I dont have the resources to make a bunch of these currently. So patience ;)

Please contact me off board/forum for this item.

Thanks,

Julio
