I just added a new stall converter to my GN and now I keep hitting some sort of rev limiter.Didin't have this problem until I changed it.I have a msd dis-4 ignition box but all the safety switches are maxed out and turned off.Is there any kind of rev limiter on the car itself I need to know about? It hits about 4,000 rpms and bounces now.Any advice would be appreciated.

The chips in the ECM usually have a rev limiter setting somewhere in the mid 5000 range, unless modified by the chip maker, but even then, they top out around 6250 or so.
Nothing close to the 4000 mark you're hitting.

Disconnect the DIS-4 and try the car out again. There have been numerous problems with the DIS-4 on S2 motors, you can read a thread on it right now.

Well, I figured out what the problem was.I have 38,000 original miles on this car and my transmission is smoked.I wanted to re-do my tranny, but not right now.O-well.This is twice now I have blamed that MSD dis-4 ignition and twice it wasn't the problem. The transmission shop said that this didn't happen overnight.I already have a tranny cooler and its been on there for quite some time. They said the new stall just pushed the already worn tranny over the edge.I'm going to put a shift kit on stage 2 in it while its apart and a few other upgrades.I called around for possibly an upgrade tranny, but I guess there is none better for the GN than the 200-4r.O well just thought I'd let everyone know. Thanks for the help.
