All Original 1987 GN With 18 Original Miles Sells For $35,000

I wouldn't post it if I didn't trust the information. A customer of mine recently sold an all original 18 mile 87 GN with plastic on seats and window sticker on window for $35,000. Car was obviously a perfect example. Thought you all should know

How did he store it that long with only 18 miles without anything going wrong?

Nothing like buying a full scale model for 35K. Wonder if the new owner is going to drive it?

unless those miles were racked up a 1/4 mile at a time

IT never seems to amaze me that people buy a car to look at.. Life is way to short to store a car for 15+years just to make 10-12 Grand..

I will drive mine untill the fenders are flappin in the wind... Now thats living.....

He sold it so that he could buy another one to drive, I think that is the right move. I know of another customer of mine that has an 87 GN at home that he drove home from the dealership in 1987 and has kept it in his garage jacked up on blocks ever since. That car has less than 20 miles on it also. He still runs it regularly and changes fluids, but has never put any mileage on it. He says he has been tempted to drive it many times. My recommendation was to sell it and buy a low mileage driver instead. So few cars exist with mileage that low and in such pristine condition. Just driving it a few hundred miles will impact its value. I drive my cars, but a car like that is a rare collectors piece at this point.

Hey,,easy on the guys that buy full size models to look at. I have other toys to go fast on and a beautiful woman and children to enjoy. There's nothing like poppin open a bottle of Bud Light sittin back and admiring one of GM's greatest accomplishments as its parked in your garage! Life is good

Hell, after inflation, you don't even make 10 to 12 grand. You're probably breaking even at best. But, if I had the money to do it, I probably would too but not for the investment.
