What would be the average charging voltage be on a correctly operating TR at idle and at 2000 rpm?

It varies....
depends on state of battery, particular alternator, where you measure it, etc..
I would guess 13.7-14.2 measured at the rear of the alternator. Maybe a couple of tenths higher at 2000 than at idle.
