Ok, I finally got car running like a scalded dog, remove the remote start function from the car which was causing battery drain or I thought it was. Bought a batter tender also. New battery because it was killed by the multiple drains. Took the car out for a test drive and it died could not even go low throttle. Could go on but long story short I thought it was the Altenator. Finally I noticed the low voltage.

I didn't even bother to get the old one tested. As It looked like the original. I ordered a new internal fan 220 amp from powerbastards. And installed along with a dakota digital gauge cluster since I was going to be working on it. Now I regret putting the dash in because I've learned that the voltage bulb burning out can cause the system not to charge. I have no way of checking that now or do I? Has anyone installed the dakota digital and noticed issues with charging? I know my issue was before the dash install but wondered about this issue being a problem for others.

Anyway I've ordered the field fix from caspers. If this doesn't work then what next?

check the bulb first and see if it is good if it is then check the contacts of the socket and if that is good call caspers.

I would, but the bulb does not exist anymore. I replaced it with a new dakota digital dash. If I knew what I know now. I would have checked it. I've placed order with caspers nut they're closed till the 2nd.
