What is a good alternator choice, any parts stores alternators worth it?

I've used a NEW Prostart made in USA alternator (Pep Boys) with good results and have also used a GM one from Highway Stars in the other car.

I got one recently from advance auto and Im happy with it. It was about $120.

Get one for a 1995 impala ss. Higher amperage same body. The positive terminal is bigger gauge though.

you could rebuild the one you have for cheap. I think I paid 35 for mines to get rebuilt.
