 well today I got the car out again previously I had posted about not liking my ptc convertor let me first say am not bashing the company it could of been any convertor in here but am saying the brand because that's what's in here and I would be asked what barand I have anyway its a 3200 stall I have a 61 turbo even on the highway today I really have to rev it well over 3500 to really build boost and take off forget its just not the same from when I bought it 3months ago the convertor feels really loose. If anyone thinks it could be something else please lmk before I take it out and make my desicion on something else

Also let me state when I first bought the car on a 30mile roll I would flaw it and tires would break loose for 50ft or so I can't even do that now:(

This is a Precision, not a PTC, these are 2 different companies.

A Precision, the purple one, can be a multi-disk or single disk converter. I have had more problems with these than all other converters total.

My first encounter with one of the POS converters was in 1999. It was locked up so tight, the GN would not even roll. Happened a few more time through the years.

Its definitly purple!!! Now that am thinking all this started happening after I had the intake off changing my intake gasket:eek:

Just changed my purple converter this past week that I got from Brian H. and it was a POS. Same symptoms as stated above! I got in touch with Dusty and he hooked me up. So far this converter feels auwsume.

Reset tv cable

when you had the intake off you had to mess with the linkage .thats where i would start before trashing your parts ..

Tv cable is good checked adjustment its fine never moved it from its place when I had the intake off!! I even played around with the cable and no change I just think the convertor is done. When I bought the car it was running like crap and I was breaking tires. At 30mph now I have to be at 3800 rpm for the car to get moving . Am going to take nicks advise and go with a covertor we talked with the stall I need for my set up I can't go wrong with nicks advice:)

I just had PTC restall my converter for me and its great now, spools my 6157 real fast.

I have a 6157 and a 10" LU converter, stock cam. Stalls at 3200. Seems to have turbo lag. I need to restall it. Most people seem to like 2800. Do you know what yours stalls at?
