I didn't think you could see them as far south as Nebraska. I've lived in Maine, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Washington and have never seen them. Really pretty.....

That's some really cool stuff. Nature never ceases to amaze me.

It's funny that, with TV, internet, phones that you can play games on and things of that sort, that it all pales in comparison to the incredible sights of nature.

If I remember correctly there was a solar storm in the recent past that caused them to bee seeable as far south as Oklahoma, truly a rare event too. Being an amateur radio operator, I'm supposed to be up on these things but am not (don't tell anyone, they may pull my license :D ) I wish it would have been nice here, but it was cloudy. Oh well, one of those things like eclipses they don't come around often.

So? I find aircraft interesting too. Nothing wrong with that.

Yes, the recent solar activity caused those. I missed seeing them, wish I had.

Man, I miss that! Seriously, I've been thinking of things that I miss from living up north (list is getting shorter by the year) and the northern lights tops my list! :D

THANKS for sharing!
