Hey all, might be a dumb question, but is the an fitting (like on the end of our fuel rail) a regular flare fitting? I hand threaded one on it and seems to be, but I'd rather ask a dumb question then have 60 psi of gasoline spraying!
Thanks!

Ya as long as the end you put on is for a flared fitting also. Not all the an fittings are flared. I believe it's a number 4 fitting? Have to go to garage an check but I have one on my car for fuel pressure gauge I made

No, it's not a flair fitting, it's a GM n O ring style. Racetronix has a fitting the goes AN to the O ring. Other use an AN to O ring surface seal.

If you are talking about the end by the fuel regulator where the Schrader valve is you can use a -4 AN fitting.

Thanks for the replies guys. I figured there had to be a difference, as a regular flare fitting would have been to easy. Where can I buy these fittings? Ace hardware couldn't tell me.

Summit, Jegs, are good places to get to know.....

There too expensive for AN fittings that are red and blue aluminum. Check out any hydralic fittings place for JIC fittings. Same as AN and available in steel, stainless steel and brass. You can find all kinds of things like metric to AN or flareless compression fittings. Lots of options than the "race parts" places.
