An old story

I remember back in the 8th grade sitting in art class waiting for the teacher to begin class.

As i was sitting there another kid accross from me took a ball of clay about the size of a baseball and was what looked to me like he was going to throw it at me and i ducked in preperation of being hit.

He didn't throw it but instead started laughing at me because he made me flinch.

That was the wrong thing to do.

I got up and walked over to him and very calmly hit him with a right hook in the left cheek and he immediately layed his head down on the desk,so i didn't know what damage if any i had done to him.

When the teacher came into the room and saw him with his head down, he asked if he was ok. One of the girls told him that i had punched him in the face.

When he lifted his head up there was a big knot and a black eye.

I got 3 licks for that.

It didn't matter that all i was doing in the beginning was waiting for the class to start and of course no one saw that he did anything to me to provoke me,i was a little fast to not be messed with back then.

Even though i got 3 licks for that,i wouldn't have done it any differently except maybe threw another punch or 2. :smile:

Obviously back then you had issues. They have'nt left. Even as an adult.

No not a tough guy and i don't have to prove anything to anyone never did anything to prove a point.

Thats why i guess when everyone was doing drugs and alcohol and they tried to pressure me into doing also, i was a stick in the mud and went the other way and never did them.

Just never gave it much thought when provoked,the fists would fly. The reflexes were good and still are more so than most youngsters half my age.

The memory was nudged by a youngster tonight,thats all. And i was wishing it was him that i could unleash on.

No brag just a fact.

That was only one of many,many others.

How many people do you know who can knock teeth out and break bones with a left jab or left hook and be a right hander.

I know i have issues but then again working the door at a nightclub for years will give you a certain temperament.
