Noticed the other morning on a cruise, and last night, it goes away when I hit the brakes, and comes right back, it seemed like it was a little louder last nite than the other morning. It's coming from behind the guage cluster it sounds like I have a bad ground in the stereo system but that's just giving you an idea of the sound, any ideas thanks Mike

That's usually what the brake pad wear indicators sound like. Some squealing normally and may disappear when hitting the brakes.

It definitely sounds like some kind of vac leak, its not the brakes, its coming from inside cabin, could I have a leak at the booster between fire wall?

Or, one of the many vacuum lines connected to your HVAC head unit.

Take the C-clamp off your testicles and the high pitch squeel will go away.;)

Is it there with the fan off? Maybe a blower motor going south? Might be the diode trio in the alt causing the radio to squeel? Hole in a vacuum line under dash? Front pump in tranny going bad? Bad bearings in the turbo will make high pitch squeels, too.

LOL fan off raido not even hooked up, this just started its definatly some kind of vac leak that goes away when brakes are applied, I plan on getting under there this weekend, btw I still have the orig powermaster...thanks Mike
