Another insurance question...

My GN is kept in a locked garage, I live alone, it has multiple security features and is driven once or twice a week. When I drive it, I drive it...it's not a show exclusive vehicle.

I've read alot of threads about the different insurances available for our cars, is there one suitable for my purposes? I didn't see any firm answers in previous threads.

I'm looking seriously into (have a quote already) www.americancollectors.com. They are a "sub" of USAA (which I have now) so I would imagine they are pretty good. I think the quote I received got me 16K coverage - which ain't too bad.

They cover collectors cars and will let you select how much the car is worth within reason so you can cover your parts and time invested as opposed to the blue book value which really doesn't apply to any buick enthusiast. You pay for the coverage you select, not like paying regular insurance and u get screwed if something happens. Or the good 'ol oh, you modified it, well we cover a maximun of 800 bucks for modifications. Blah blah, most of here know the rolling bull$hit well.
