Finally had some time to race the car today, this is the first time in two years this car has seen the track and I was able to git'er done in 4 passes with 255/60 MT Drag Radials @ 3760lbs with me in it. First 3 were 8th mile (didn't want to attract attention :D ) No rollbar...Tuned with GEN 2 Translator to a rich 10.2ish A/F, Timing at 23/21 with Alky spraying!

1st pass
60' - 2.0
1/8 - 7.7
MPH- 97.31
18# boost
0psi launch

2nd pass
60' - 1.65
1/8 - 7.1
MPH- 96.1
18# boost
8psi launch

3rd pass
60' - 1.58
1/8 - 7.0
MPH- 97.8
18-19# boost
10psi launch
1/4 - 12.0 @67.46

4th pass (Full pass)
60' - 1.61
1/8 - 6.93
MPH- 99.8
1/4 - 10.89@123.13
20# boost
10psi launch

I think this car may have a 10.40-10.50 in it with a better 60', more boost and a leaner tune.

Congrats on run.. :D

Your combo is almost the same as mine
i went 7.1 @96mph at 25psi stock bottom also .
i still need more tuning.

Glad to see that 66 has ability for some 10 sec runs. ;)

Thanks, I think the 66BB still has a ton more left. According to Cotton this turbo is just beginning to work at 20# and has a sweet spot around 25-26ish. The .82 housing definately helps the top end.

Thanks Mike, I see a 11sec time slip in your future when we sort out the tranny bugs. Soon buddy...

Thats a really strong bottom end pull. Need to work on airfuel past the 1/8 mile and get another few MPH.. But heat may have been playing an issue..

25-26 PSI should run mid 10's easy if you can get the tires to hook.

;)

Julio, your right on with the heat and A/F playing a role with the MPH on the top end. Next time out hopefully I will have the A/F around 11.0-11.2 and push the boost a bit, would be nice if it the temp would drop some. Maybe I will try locking the converter for a couple of extra MPH.

BTW: the dual nozzles kick ass! ;)

That is awesome, congratulations!
What rims and suspension are you running?

Thanks John, the rims are the run of the mill Weld Prostars, 15x8 Rear with 255/60 MT DRs and skinny MT sportmans in front. The car is lowered using drop spindles complemented with crappy shocks. Out back I have Beltech 2" drop coils with Edelbrock adjustable uppers, UMI lift bars and brackets on lowers, Fullthrottle 1 5/8 sway bar and Bilstein shocks. The pinion angle is way off for now but looking to set it at -2 or -3 down and add airbags for consistent 1.5's on MT DRs. Not looking for much more since this is a 99% street car.

I have posted this a bunch but since your combo is very close to my old one here it is again. Jack Cotton put together my stock bottom end combo using the same turbo. Car went a best of 6.74@103.3 mph 1/8th mile on the way to 10.57@127.1 mph 1/4 mile at ATCO NJ in 45-50 degree weather. Ran a 1.57 60 foot on 8" rims w/ 9" slicks no roll bar. Car weighed about 3600 with me in it. Wolfe sway bar helped a lot. That was on 25 psi and 26 degrees of timing. At 20 psi the car would run in the 10.7-10.8 range. I think it was 10.4 capable on a good launch with good air....but I never rane more than 20 psi after that day, I knew the stage 2 was coming :) Now Stage 2 and 9s capable street car. Good luck with your combo :)
