If they want it, they are going to get it. When I park, I turn wheels all the way to lock. All you can do is slow them down or hopefully they realize it is to much trouble to fool with. If you have a Hot wire kit, unplug the fuse. Only you know where it is. Mine is easily accessible under the hood but hidden also.

There are a 100 ways to disarm these cars. Fuses, switches, plugs, so on. Sometimes, I don't even remember how to start it!

Do what I do. Do them all. Then, take a 5/8 vinyl coated cable with 2 loops in it, wrap it around the axle, and a big ass piston/bar lock, put a loose piece of brass over the bar (can't cut through it with a bolt cutter), and chain the car to the nearest stable pole/car/truck/wall/fence, and through the cable slack under the car so the scumbags don't see it until they try to move it. Then they will make a big sound and mess, get frightened, run off. Now you have to fix the car......but you still have the car. And you may catch them in the act. So, now you finally get your chance to do a service to humanity by chopping the head off a scumbag who clearly deserved it.

Kill switch on the battery is a nice idea (like the fuse idea too). Might help with the rare occurrence of fire and burning garage down...rare I guess but I have seen it in the local news, now whether that was a wiring thing or ? I don't know. Regardless some sort of tracking device should be implemented.

I have the column clamshell lock, a hidden ign kill switch, battery disconnect, factory alarm and a psycho dog who can wake the dead. Good luck getting mine out of my yard without waking the dead. However if a thief wants it bad enough hook and book is pretty hard to defend except when you block it in with a big 4x4. Admittedly Out off home turf is a much bigger challenge.

This is a friend of mine. We where going racing in the mourning and he parked his rig in front of his house for 4 hrs ready to go. He was sleeping 20 ft away. Someone had a key for the truck and was watching him. Knew we where going racing and he was ready to go. The GN is always in a locked garage with 2 vehicles in front of it. They found the car hauler 3 hrs away. They have found the GN also close by. Scobby will post details later.

Glad to hear a recovery was made.

We can only hope the car wasn't damaged/stripped too much.

Sounds like the were after the truck and the rest was just collateral damage. Thieves suck.

Get a Dakota Alert setup, very cheap and easy to setup for your driveway. It's basically a driveway automatic doorbell. Can have up to 4 sensors, and they shoot a beam, not a typical motion sensor, so you can set it up say 4-5ft off the ground pointing across your driveway or garage door. Set the receiver in the bed room, when the beam is broken the chime goes off. Each of the 4 sensors can make a different chime. When it goes off, go out with guns a blazin.
