I'd be willing to bet that stock block has been resleeved with Dartons and running 427"

Running that kind of HP, it may have been wise to upgrade to the C5r Block.

It is a honed stock LS6 block, so after honing it might be a 347ci instead of 346ci but not a 427. Their C5R block equipped NA car is already in the 9s, and their heads/cam stock bottom end cars are running mid 10s. Their quickest h/c car is a 10.5@131 MPH. Search over on www.corvetteforum.com and you can see what Cartek has accomplished within the past few years. Or, call Dave at the shop and talk to him directly (908)317-4496.

My mistake, you are correct, it is a stock 346 block and that is Paul's car from NJ. I've done some business with him and he is a great guy to boot. And I agree, Cartek turns out some high HP cars.

Seems the top tuners right now are Cartek, MTI (Houston) and LG (Dallas)

Brent just went 10.6 at 130 with a 427"' motor

If I remember correctly, the 427" motor car in the 9's has significant suspension mods and a front mounted transmission.

Here is a video of the 1st 10 sec pass in my car with DOT's

Cool vid, you should pick up a bit once we get some cooler air. I was over at Cartek today and saw Paul, they got the boost controller working correctly and turned the boost down a bit so he has a chance at keeping the car in a straight line. Everyone is trying to make the Vette-Viper event this weekend(MIR I think) so it'll be a busy week over there. I can't wait for the track rental days with the nice fall air, I'll be shooting for 11.4s with my stock motor car and Brent is gonna try for 9s:D Don't count out Mike Romain, he was the first NA C5(441 stroker C5R block/LS6 heads) in the 9s and he's looking to beat his 9.98@136.....

Hope to be in the 10.30's with good traction and a super low DA. You guys in NJ and Houston have tracks in the right place and can achieve negative DA's which really help ET's. You may notice that many ET records are achieved on good air days in NJ and Houston.

That run was made in Bowling Green, 95 degrees and an very UNPREPPED track.
