Well I tried to help a socalled friend out and got the short end of the stick,I know this deserves a butt wooping (Not I the mood to got to jail).So I pot a cell phone in MY name to help out 2 months later I get a call from the carrier you haven't paid the bill so I call him,(Talk to the wife it hers) I get ahold of her (I'll pay the bill in the morning) Well as of today no bill pay carrier calling wanting there money.Anyone have any ideas
 
Sorry to hear this. If it were me, I'd just close the account and be done with it. Hope it all works out for you...

To some it up short for you. Chalk it up to a lesson learned. Similar thing happened to me many years ago when trying to help a so called friend. You have no recourse. Cancel it and pay the balance. Cant be much. Certainly isnt worth damaging ur credit to let it linger long enough for it to get as negative on ur credit report.

Small claims court would not even be worth ur time for something like that and it would likely get rejected anyway.

Chalk it up to a learning experience. Pay the bill, explain the situation to the rep, get the account shut down, and they may even be able to flag the ESN as stolen or lost. OF course then you or anyone else will no longer be able to use that phone.
If you're ever in the Beardon Hill area, I'm the tech in the shop for the Verizon store there.

sorry to hear of your situation....for some reason, cell phones are the number one thing that deadbeats stiff former friends out of!!! just watch an episode or two of judge judy..... turn the phone off, pay the bill and say Adios!!
