Antenna Question

I have a motorized antenna that hasn't work, probably doesn't work...has anyone successfully swapped out the motorized version for a fixed placed antenna on their cars?

If so, is there adapters/antennas available to make the switch directly? And just be place over the unworking antenna?

Figured it'd be less work and less of a hassle

It is not less work nor less hassle. You are looking for long term reliability with a fixed mast.

Years ago I bought the used factory G body fixed antenna mount and a new black mast from G Body parts.
You still have to remove the power antenna assembly then install the new mount and wire.
What Brad said above is true with the amount of work and what you will get out of it.

Appreciate it guys, looks like ill just put the work in and swap it out when i can
