My car launches real hard and twists, driver side front wheel goes up 3 feet or so and the passenger goes up inches.
I need a anti sway bar or???

Currently have no sway bars on the car.

So the main question is Wolfe or HR parts or another?

The HR bar looks simular to a late model pickup sway bar that i have seen.

TIA

no sway bars?

an ATR bar will improve things 4000%

the other more expensive versions prolly 5000%

my ATR bar is good for 1.4x 60's

I am not a big fan of the ATR bar......i had one and did not care for it.
Fit was a p.i.t.a.
I need something that will help my passenger rear tire from getting too far up the wheel well .........my slick is getting chewed up on the outside and touching the wheel well on the upper inside.

I could of swore i put this in Gen tech:confused:

Maybe it could be moved to chassis tech?

well, based on your 60' times, I would say it would help a bunch

sometimes they don't fit perfectly, but a BFH solves the problem

if you want to keep your exhaust system forget the Wolf bar.....

anything (even stock) is better than nothing

Oh, i have 60 footed better........when i detuned the car because of a problem.
On the pass in my sig i launched from 1 (t-brake)to 2 and then the shifter went back to 1 on the launch ...........amazing loose stock shifter:rolleyes: :D

Want to get this sorted out before i put my fast motor in.

LOL........used the BFH technique and now my lower control arms look like crap!

you can't go wrong with either setup....the Wolfe is more intrusive

I think as azgn has already said any of the sway bars available would help you, but if your car is a street car I would go for one of the bolt in bars like the HR bar, ATR bar, BMR bar.... From what I've seen out of all of them the HR bar looks and seems to perform like a Wolfe bar, but it's designed to be more street friendly because you don't have to weld it in....

It looks like his car is backhalfed so wolfe or some sort of anti roll is the way to go. I ran just some air bags with south side bars and got 1.40 60s you need to preload the passenger side and it will not twist like that .

Ive got the H&R bar. It's going on the car next week.Hope it work's as good as it look's:)

A little biased

I know I am a little biased but I removed a wolfe bar and replaced it with a HR bar. The bushing in the wolfe bar was destroyed and the only way to service it is to cut the bar out and replace the bushing and weld it back in. The wolfe bar was not street friendly at all I had been on 3 wheels many times. I will not say you can't get it on 3 wheels with the HR but I have not so far. I don't know how to attach pictures here but my car leaves level if you have watched any of the videos in the TSM forum you can see for your self. You can leave harder because the car is completely predictable. In the semi finals I left at 24 lbs of boost. We replace other bars (both mentioned above) nearly as often as we sell to someone who has no bar. Just my experience.. Dave

Hi Laz, I am the one that talked to you on the phone about liquid intercoolers and we met at the Nationals.
The car is not backhalfed........i have Metco upp/lowers/koni shocks/air bag at 45psi on passenger side/stiffer cargo coil on passenger side as well.
I am not running the i.a.c. brackets at this time.

Before i went with the Wolfe I ran a set up close to yours. The difference was i ran a ATR bar with the Metcos. I got a best of 1.39 60 ft . But the problem was that it was not consistent and slightly unpredictable. One run it would run a 1.55 the next a 1.42 all things being the same.

I then went with the Wolfe(best of 1.36 60 ft) and TRZ control arms and things got much more predictable .The car went straighter and felt safer going down track. My 60 ft are now what ever i want them to be depending on the track and most of all, consistent.

Like stated above.
The ATR will help you quite a bit.
But for a car like yours a quality piece like the H&R parts unit or the Wolfe would be best. The HR is friendlier & much easier to install.Lots of fast cars kicking butt with both.

Dam it looks like its backhalved you got some serious backspacing . I got a trick for you try a axle snubber on the passenger side and i quarantee it will help . I have seen a couple of friends go very deep in the 1.35 60 fts with nothing but that and air bags so try it . Laz

Thanks Laz........i have a couple sitting here, i have not put them on because i am running chromoly axle tubes and these were designed for the stock axle snubber bracket (bolt on).......guess i will see my buddy to weld one on!
Running 4.5'' back spacing on a 10'' rim with a frame notch i did over the winter.

Mike,

We have gone 1.29 60s and over 170 with the Wolfe @ about 3500lbs.

I know there diffrent animals, but the v8 guys are loving the HR sway bar set up,and judging by Pauls other stuff I would venture to say that it works.I have the HR uppers and lowers with an ATR bar,but yet to try it with a pair of slicks.Best was a 1.67 on 255-50-16 drag radials leaving with no boost

My friend and I just installed the hrparts sway bar on one of the DC Tech cars. The installation was very simple and was" bolt on" except for the drilling of 4 holes. This car is a street car right now with hopes of putting it on the strip soon. It had an ATR bar that was very harsh riding but after installing one of Paul's "set up" the car rode like it just came off of the show room floor. The car had no body roll in the corners either. This is a quality piece of workmanship. I am going to get one for my car to help my car from twisting and make the 60 ft. more consistent.
