anti theft devises

hello people; I was wondering what you men and women are using for anti theft devises? My car came with the factory one but when I bought it from the original owner I never asked if it worked but the guy said it had one. I should of checked it. stupid.

I just picked up a column lock for mine when i get it back out on the road, but for now my anti-theft device is a closed windowless garage.:biggrin:

I've been reading up on this and will probably get one later down the road until then the column lock should work.

Fuel pump, ECM, starter, cam sensor...a number of different kill switches one can do.

I have the steadfast column guard, a Viper 791XV, Lojack, 3 kill switches, a steering wheel lock, a throttle lock, a wheel lock, motion sensors in the garage and a Kimber.

If someone wants the car bad enough they're going to get it, the best you can hope for is to slow them down in the process in hopes that runs them off.

The way you park it can also be a deterrent, allot of car guys tend to want to back their car in the garage, keep the wheels straight, and be overly OCD about how it looks sitting in the garage. Park it straight in and turn the wheels.

2 way pager style alarm with starter kill

along with lock for those who know these cars can be popped easily. the 2 way will let you know from about 100ft or so by chime if someone is messing with your car. this has been covered, check under car audio.

Holy crap! I'm lucky enough to have a closed garage, I'm a gun collector and it's justified in Texas to protect your property with lethal force, after dark. I'm liking that paging system in addition to a kill switch and column guard.

You don't mount it yourself...you got to have installed by a certified Ravelco dealer/installer. you can usually ask them where you want them to install the connector (in-dash or under-dash). Search their website and find the nearest from you...
