I've been chasing embarrassing starts on the new engine for years, Steve D notices the battery volts during cranking are brutally low. I swapped to this Lithium battery and problems solved, insta-starts, my six figure car no longer starts like a $6 car. It was hit or miss sometimes, really embarrassing.

Antigravity ATX-30hd (no restart) $560
Posts/terminals AG-TA-1 ($14)
Battery tray AG-BT-LC-30 ($130)

*ATX-30hd is considered their largest motorcycle battery and do not include posts.

*You must keep the running volts UNDER 15v or you can trigger an internal safety shut down. Not great with volt boosters or Powermaster XS series adjustable alternators.

I've used dry cell batteries for many years, low weight and usually got the job done, after 3 different brands on the new engine they weren't cutting it.

ATX-30hd vs Kinetik 800watt (750ca)
Price = $560................$115
Ca = 970ca.................750ca
Weight = 7.25lbs..........21lbs
Fresh Volts = 13.3v......12.2v
Crank rpm = 220rpm...........140rpm
Cranking volts = 11.4v...............9s and 8v (zonk)
Start time = Instant........Random and sometimes never!!!!

Hilariously, while getting the battery, the car didn't start and just cranked at the shop as I'm about to leave and install at home. They remote battery box jump my GN, I pull in shop, we swap in maybe 10 minutes tops, then it started so fast I look over at the tech I was telling this 4 year starting BS too and we laugh.

I installed this around July in my 69 GTO and it fixed the random long cranking Holley HP starts on it too. The only of thing...

GTO only drops .9v while cranking and my GN drops 1.5v so that's not making sense. 462ci engine at 11.7 comp vs 235ci and 8.5 comp and the GN needs more???

Yes..... I probably couldn't bought a lead acid 900cca battery but at 40lbs and my battery box is for these little guys it's not an option.
