Has anyone used another knob on there column shift car? Can the knob be removed? Have seen it on other cars......8 balls, skulls etc.....

It was a late 70's and 80's trend Ryan. You can get the knob off but it's kinda a bitch. Donnie could make what ever you want to go back on.;)

Are the knobs epoxied on? Did not want to break the knob. Column shifts don't bother me but it's kinda short. Most column shift cars I dirve.... the knob is right at your finger tips with your hands still on the wheel. The Regal feels a little puny.

The shaft has splines and I have seen them glued on before. Sometimes you can take them off easily but most of the time you have to destroy them.

After taking a closer look. The shifter rod it tapered towards the knob. If I got the knob off.....don't thing an after market knob would match.
