I just recently bought a Fred Bear compund bow to try my hand at archery.

I mostly just want to try target shooting, but I may give bowhunting a try.

I was wondering if there were some good websites to help me with some of the finer details of shooting a bow.

I used to shoot a compund bow as a teen but it was not near in the class of the bow i have now.

I really want to know how to go about setting up the sights and how to use the optic sight it has on it properly.

Do I have to have the peep sight that came in the package with the bow installed to properly aim it?

I think the arrow rest that came with the bow is for trigger release shooting and i prefer the finget method. Can anyone recommend a good arrow rest for finger style shooting?

Bow season is waaaay longer than firearms season in MD

Just got to get out there and shoot it until you are comfortable hitting a pie plate at about 40 yds and then do not take a shot unless you have a good shot.

have never surfed the bow sites.

Sounds like you have a device that holds the arrow in the bow - does not make a difference for fingers or trigger release
