I got a quote this Saturday for $5700+ for the GN.

I didn't even pay that in Cdn $ and I had my whole car done in addition to the roof work. Look elsewhere my friend.

Pricey, but quality work...ive seen a few cars hes done and you get you pay for!!....I think Milton is the owner....better than alot of "half a$$" paint shops we have here in the islands

the quote you got sounds about right from a REAL paint shop(guess it depends on bodywork)...when i had my monte and got a quote from m&r it was about that price...especially black paint...good luck

Try El's autobody and paint. Tell him you know me. He'll give you a "real good price." I think his name is El too.

Try Custom Rod Shop located in Campbell Industrial Park. Anthony Tabion is the owner.
They're the ones that painted my GN. I paid a little over 3G, and that included fixing door /trunk rust, changing both body fillers, and changing my T-top weatherstripping. Took several weeks to finish, but I feel it was a good deal for what I paid.
Anthony has done several GNs, from mild (mine) to wild (frame-off resto). Tell him what you want, and take it from there. Set a limit for what you want to spend and see what he can do. You may be surprised. I was.

My friend got his 944 painted at Central Auto Body, paint looks real good (had accident repair done at the same time). I think he was charged 3-4k. I've heard only good things about Central.

M&R ( Milton and Renee) are my good friends. He does a lot of show cars, and the work is very good, but it's going to cost you. I also know El, and his work is pretty good too. I used to go 4 wheelin with him. It is like they say, you get what you pay for. Depends what you want, if it's like my car an every other day car, then I personally wouldn't want to pay that much. But hey... I get chinese!!!! Good luck with your hunting.

Going to get a few more estimates.... El's is booked solid until June.

I'm planning on keeping the GN, so I don't mind paying. The GN has sentimental value to me so it's worth it to fix her up. Besides, have you guy's seen all the rust on my car?!? It has 72,000 miles on it, but it looks like 272,000!!
