Hello Guys,

My 2004r is "bleeding" transmission fluid on the garage floor. It seems as the car leaks mainly when stationary in the garage as I have not seen or smelled any leaking trans fluid hitting the exhaust when the car is running.

Do you guys know of any trustworthy and affordable trans shops or transmissions guys in the area. I can pull the trans myself and just take Trans but to be honest I just rather take the whole car.

I had mine done by Dave Burgess in Melbourne and he did an awesome job.

You may not have to pull the trans. When the engines not running/trans pump not turning the fluid levels at it's highest point. May just be leaking from TV cable seal, shift shaft seal etc..

How do you avoid that? I have a 700R4 that does that

A.j.

When the engine's turned off fluid from converter & trans passages drain back to pan. Unavoidable. Just have to find which location above pan rail is leaking and repair seal. TV cable seal, shift shaft, electical connector ,rear shaft seal etc..
I had a TH350 that had a crack from the bellhousing all the way into the pump mounting area that only leaked when parked. Too much Nitrous with slicks, I guess.
