1998 acourd lx...4cyl...

temp gage goes strait to hot in about 35 seconds.car not running hot....unplug sender,gage stays on cold......three new senders all doing same thing??? help....captian electrical is stumped.....

bleed coolant system....ecm temp show nornal...new cluster tried...no shorts in harness....

That's bizarre, I used to work on a lot of those cars. My memory is hazy, but maybe run a ground to the sensor body.

Im thinking two defective clusters ......possible....i've seen several bad new parts in a row before ....ill post up the results.thanks Tim.

Change the cluster gary I did 4 of them already!!!!!!

You're probably hitting VTEC too soon, which is causing the windshield bearings to burn up, and he cylinder decompressors to ignite prematurely.

I would probably pull out the engine and swap in an LC2. You can never be too safe with these things.

Am glad it worked gary as we speak I have another one here in my shop right now am trying to locate another cluster
