Any Ideas on what this is?

Hello guys, I'm trying to figure out what this turbo is set up for. I bought a grand national from a guy in michigan that retired from buick after approx 34 years, in the deal he gave me his garage full of grand national parts, some of the parts being prototype parts for the gnx. This turbo has me scratching my head though, the compressor cover is for a hot air car, but the elbow on the turbine is unknown to me, the actuator is mounted different from the hot air gn's and the intercooled gn's. Any idea's?

I was gonna say possibly from this but there's an exhaust elbow on your turbo where on this its looks like there is just a down pipe.
