I figured I'd ask who here shoots Billiards. I've been playing in APA and TAPS league for about 11 years now. It might be the only other thing that is relaxing to working on the Buick. Maybe you guys can post up your custom cues or tables if you have them. Here is a picture of my Joss cue.

Yes I am a pool player, been playing since I was 8 I am now 30. I have played many greats that are regular in my pool room in NY. Played against Ginky many times R.I.P. world champion. Tony robles is a regular in my room , earl strickland was staying in NY and is a regular. Love the game. My favorite is 9 ball , but im not bad at 1 pocket or straight pool, My high is 142 balls in straight pool. My cue of choice is my joss cue also. But I have been playing recently with a Southwest. Great cues they hit really nice. Ill post some pics latter of my cues.

I've gotten to see a lot of the pro
player going to the Allen Hopkins Billards Expo. It was in PA for all those years now they have it in Edison,NJ. Nine ball is fun I shot that up until 09 now been 8 ball the entire time since. My other stick is a Lucasi

I played a friend of mine many years ago who was very good. Knew he would beat me, but told him that's the only way to get better. Well, i did not get better. 9 ball, 9 foot table, 15 games, never got a shot. Lmao.

Use to play a lot.My high run wasn"t 142.More like 29.Nice run by the way.Straight is the game.I had the pleasure to watch Willie Mosconi play.Great player. Now that my eyes are going bad,I sort of just watch now.

i've been playing APA & BCA for about 5-6 years. i have a Joss with a predator Z2 shaft. love the game. i shoot league 3 nights a week and then practice on the other nights.. definitely addicted through and through. went to vegas in 2012 for teams (finished 36th) and 9-ball doubles (finished 5th).

Ginky is from my old neighborhood. Lots of mutal friends also friends w his family etc. def one of the best

I’ve played pool for years. I had a US open huebler. That stick hit like God!

Straight pool is great I had a high run of about 60.

Also met the pros. Allan Hopkins is a great guy and a gentleman.

Earl Strickland was a douche. One of the best though. Can’t take that away.

Effrem Reys was one of my favorites. Crazy long stroke. No pun intended.

Back in the 80’s and 90’s here in eastern MA and RI there was a lot of action. Big money.

We even have a local guy that was pro level and when the pros would come down they wouldn’t play him.

True story. He was nasty. A fuck up though and let drugs take control. But I sure did enjoy watching him put some fear in the pros.

There were other local greats and there’s some up and coming new guys but it isn’t the same.

There was just a tournament in RI and Earl cam down. There was some 10k action with Earl and a local great. Local guy won.

I miss those days. Pockets full of money always ready for action.

D

i met earl last year at the mosconi cup. he was pretty relaxed and even signed my friends play-through right after he lost doubles with rodney morris. i was a bit surprised.

efren is a god but the newest monster out there is shane van boening

I left my Brunswick table back at the old house sold it with my home. new house has no basement so no table. Nice game room

I'm pretty good used to hustle alot when i was a younger with no kids. I made some decent $ and also lost $. Great Sport depends what you play... Miami there's huge Latin influence so there are a bunch of different games more exciting games that are very defensive opposed to offensive. Lot's of pro guys out there but there are a bunch of hustlers that are just as good as pro's believe it!

Here's my cheapo Competition sports Cue, honestly i rarely used it..i loved just grabbing a cue of the wall and taking your $..
