Valve Job Mess

I had that very same thing happen on a set of 350 Chevy heads 40 years ago on a corvette that had never been touched and just out warranty. I should have been suspicious when the guides were shot so soon.This was on a 78 vet I just believe QA was not that good back then,one head didn’t have not one spring pocket right and the other one had a couple right.
Sounds like all is good.Ive own a half dozen Jeeps never had 225.

Love the odd-fire motor, but if it ever needed replacing I'd find a '79~'80 3.8L. Cheaper, and I'd have the option of fuel injection and just overall better parts availability.
