I don't mean the "Come Alive For $3.45 Red Ripple by the gallon" . I mean a nice $15-$25 ( I know you can spend alot more $$$) bottle of a red Merlot or Cab , Shiraz . Come on don't be shy nothing wrong with admitting your a wine drinker and you drive a GN as you get older :D . My preference lately has been South African , IMO best bang for the buck . I use to be a big California red guy , but IMO the quality has gone down hill in the last 3-4 years . Maybe it's because of the global warming crazy weather over the last few years . What's your , Canadian  , California , Australian , French , Italian , next door basement home brew , etc . :) Let me know what the names are and from what region . always looking for something different . :)

Belvidere Merlot. California. Sometimes hard to get here in PA.

South America has some good Reds like the Santa Rita, Santa Carolina etc etc. Get the older vintages for $15-20 & they are Nice red wines. BUT I dont drink the stuff my friend does, altho I trust his judgement.
Also the Jackson Triggs from Canada arent bad at all. Had a taste of all of them & didnt mind them. They like the older the better theory but I could care less what year it is if it tastes good.

Maybe a nice Chianti and some Fava beans.......

Just can not bring myself to buy a box of wine...

Next time you have a good steak try some Lorca Poetico Malbec (it's actually a slight blend) / Argentina.
Very smooth and can be had for around or under $20.

Witty's Discount Wines and Spirits Affenthaler Spatburgunder 2005

I haven't tried that one yet, but while I was in Germany I had a couple other brands that are literally next door neighbors of Affenthaler, and they were bar none, the best wine I've ever had. Spatburgunder is German for Pinot Noir.

I'm trying to get a buddy in NJ to go get me a couple bottles of that and ship it to me, hopefully he won't lazy out on me and actually do it.

I'm drink any Pino Noir. But if you sit down for a nice pasta dinner, definately try a Valpolicella. Its nice and dry, but has a fun little sweetness. It's the bee's knees. Unfortunately, its hard to find 'round my area.

Expensive but hard to beat!

Flowers
Pinot Noir

Yep.Ive heard of that . Friend came back from France this weekend . he went on a tour of a boiler foundry . and got me to try a bottle that came from some "organic" vineyard in France . Wine was a crazy "blood red" color , never seen anything like it .Said it was very expensive . Anyways , I didn't like it. had a very "odd" after taste . But... I still drank it . :D I was expecting seeing that it came directly from France it would be a knock your socks off wine . But.... is was far from it in IMO .
