Where in VA are you? I think Mike is at the south end of I81, near Bristol. I'm in Laurel, MD, halfway between DC and Baltimore. There's a shop here, Vernon's Auto, that does good work on these cars. I know Bobby Mason (board name Bmason) knows a shop or two in the Richmond area, and I'm sure there are others scattered about if you give us a better idea of where.

Are you looking for advise or someone to help you in the RR of the motor?

Thanks for the info. I am in Fairfax so Bristol is pretty far for me. I am close to Annandale.

I'm looking for someone to do the work. I am low on time (grad school appications/GREs/work) and money for now and I want to get running since it is my daily driver (only about 100 mi. a week though).

I'd love to take it apart myself and learn but its starting to get cold out and I won't have time until December. Also, with something as extensive as this could be, I want it to be done right.

There is a savings if the motor is pulled and disassembled i mean
heads, block, intake, etc that is if you have the parking.

If not Tim can do it you'll just dig deeper in the pocket.

I called for Tim and they told me he was sick and wouldn't be back until next month. Is there any other way to reach him...

Red, I used to go to school in Williamsburg but my problem now would be getting the car to you...

Forgot Tim had an accident out for a while. Next choice Vernons
if you can't wait.

wow this is an old post I came across, but I was wondering if you found anybody in the northern VA Area that is a specialist on these cars that can give me some wisdom, im about to pull whats left of my hair out trying to figure this thing out

Holy old thread Batman!!! I was the T/R go-to guy in the Fairfax, VA area back in the day.

Still around but sold the shop 10 years ago and changed careers. I don't even have anybody to recommend.
