I talked a guy out of a trans cause I needed a VB , I figured I could always use some spare parts too. I tore it down and found OD planet pretty much fried brass thrust washers gone. Front planet worse yet gears welded together can`t even pry em apart. low panet looks OK. How much heat can parts take before they are weakened and not useable ,the input shaft is blued where it goes into the OD planet. Oh well good thing it was free.
