Anybody know the rules for withdrawing items from e-bay auctions?

for it to totally disappear, most likely it violated one of ebay's liting rules. If the seller ends early because he sells locally or breaks it, its still there, and states it ended early with "a reason"
For it to no longer be valid item when searched on means ebay pulled it.
Most often that is for someone using keywords that do not apply just to get attention.
Like selling a plain old Regal and using this as a title:
"1985 Regal like Grand National."
So, you see that all the time, right? Ebay usually only bothers to pull auctions when someone else complains about them. Chances are your seller has some enemies watching his auctions.

On a "No Reserve" e-bay auction, are you allowed to have a disclaimer such as most people have on vehicles that the item is being advertised locally and the seller reserves the right to cancel the auction in the event of a local sell?
I see a lot of cars with that stated, but I have never noticed if they were on only certain types of auctions. If that statement was on the auction, then the auction probably was not bringing what the seller expected/wanted, and they are going to have it brought by a friend, who really didn't but the item at all.
