Basically I would like to have my cake and eat it too. I picked up a set of factory 20's off an 07 for my 06 (older style) Suburban. Now I would like to do a very subtle, probably around 2" drop. What kit to use? Can I keep my nice ride quality, and load the back with kids and stuff and still not worry about bottoming out? Thanks in advance. Scott

Dropped spindles up front and shakles out back will do the job depending on how low u wanna go. 2in can be done like this. You should have the same ride quality. Just B carefull...lotsa junk on the market right now. I wouldnt buy the cheap stuff for this, especially if the kids are going in it.

The CHINA stuff was in this market way before they got in the performance market.

We lowered our '94 454 2500 suburban with spindles and springs back in the day. It was about a 6" drop.

It was before the SUV craze really hit and my sister wanted a Suburban (she had 5 kids) and I got a V-10 Ram so we told her she could have the suburban.

"What suburban?" she said, looking right at it. "That isn't a Suburban!.... Is it?"

I guess lowering it made it look smaller or something.

I loved it lowered but my wife hated it because it wasn't tall enough.

I doubt 2" would effect ride quality much.

You should be able to do that with springs, only.

I had a 97 Four wheel drive, I used one of these Belltech kits:

Belltech Lowering Kit Specials (Belltech Drop Kit Specials)

I liked the results, it is not an easy install and you'll need an alignment when finished. Getting the old torsion keys out was a PITA. On the rear, the spring hanger had to be cut off.

It took two days to install.

I lowered my 07 silverado

3 days after I bought it,
3 + 4 in drop
front: I changed the lower control arms,
rear; used shakle remount kit,
realigned the front end , and rides like original,
used same springs, same shocks,
was $309 for parts and 75 for alignment.
looks great, handles better,??? no rubbing
and I have factory 20's on the truck
if you want a pic lemme know,

definitely would like to see a pic. I don't think LCA's are an option. All I've seen are "torsion keys" and spindles.

not very good pics

but these will give you an idea

wait til the sun goes down I 'll try to get better pics.
oh. by the way, its 101 here right now,
