Anybody Raced A Challenger

I had a nice little run in with a jeep cherokee srt8. i was just going for a short cruise and next thing i know this bronze colored jeep comes flying up next to me and as he goes by he revs his motor a couple of times. the first thing i noticed is that it sounded totally awesome and the throttle response was like a race car it was so quick to rev. it just happened that the speed limit was changing from 30 to 55. cruising along at around 20 we both nailed the gas. he immediately jumped out on me about a half car length. through second and into third we were dead even all the way up to about 90. as we slowed i think we both noticed the light just ahead turning red and we both hurried to get there and get stopped before it changed back to green. light turns green just as my boost gage is at 5psi. the mickey dr's bite in and i launch nicely i hear tires squeeling next to me as the jeep smokes all four tires, he finally hooks but by then i am a full car length out on him. again we stayed that way right up to around 90mph. neither vehicle gaining even a foot on the other. as we approached the next light and we exchanged thumbsups.stopped at the light the guy says holyf*** that is the fastest car i have ever ran, he then tells me he has over 600hp to the wheels with a blower and nitrous. i must admit that was the fastest truck car or whatever i had ever encountered on the street and i was very proud of my little v6.

oh yeah. i didnt have the chance to tell him that i was only running my street setup, pump gas, street chip, 20lbs boost. this also was pre alky. my street setup is faster since i put the alky on.

Ran against one last fall...

at Dragway 42 here in OH. He ended up running a 13.54 @ 105.86 to my 11.64 @ 117.48. Big car....he had the 6.1 Hemi.
