My stock tranny cooler lines are all bent up and I wanted to get rid of them anyways. I was wanting to use some stainless steel flexible braided line like we use for the fuel pressure gauges and oil feed lines...anybody have an idea of where to get it and what size would I need for a stock 200-4R tranny...I also have a B+M super cooler (the 8"x11" size)
Anybody use braided lines for transmission cooler?

Stock lines are 5/16 flared pipe with adapters at the tranny and cooler.
So you would probably need -6AN which is 3/8" ID hose.
I'd look for a rubber braided line that would hold tranny fluid as opposed to teflon that I know will work but is harder to bend into a tight radius.
Many of the race cars use braided lines as do folks with extra coolers and such.
I use rubber and clamps.

I had the same problem on a car I used to own. I replace the lines with braided stainless, as you want to. The sizes Salvage6 gave sound right. But, be very careful how you route the lines around the starter and be very sure you tie them down so they do not move. Getting on the starter seloniod (sp) is very bad, causes much sparking and can burn the line in half (as mine did). Luckly I did not have a fire on my hands. A last note is to leave a little slack at the trans for movement. HTH
